Wintry weather is typical when you live in New England, but the past week has been painfully cold. While we do not have as much snow as we usually do by this point, the freezing weather is enough to make someone scream. The crazy thing is that there are many places in the United States where this is not typical for winter at all.
The other day I read that people in North Dallas, Texas will need to brace themselves for some snowy weather. This is funny to me since I always hear people complaining about how hot it is. I guess that is not something that they have to worry about right now.
I know there was a day last month when much of the South was hit by snow and we sat here in New England with clear skies and watched it in awe on the TV screen. It makes some conspiracy theorists think that this is somehow man-made. That is probably one of the craziest things I ever heard, but I guess I can understand why those people would think this.
This is probably the main reason why I do not believe in global warming. If the world is somehow hotter, how in the world does it seem to be getting colder all of the time? I would love to hear what some of those scientists out there have to say about this.
I am not sure how hard Texas will be hit by the snow, but I hope that they are prepared for it. Places like that generally do not know how to deal with this because it is not typical. After dealing with Harvey, I know that they do not have a lot of money to spend on things like this.
